2011 HONOURS, UPPERS & DOWNERS PART I

What a smashing year, yeah? The year that Style&Error really took off in an international arena. Oh, wait. No. I've got that down in the diary for 2012 as it goes. Christ, OK, for now what a smashing year just had with you lot. You know who you are. Are you all tuned in? Lets amble through our faves, highs and lows. Feel free to interrupt and suggest stuff, and I might feel free to ignore/spam you off. For anyone not familiar with our thing here's a 'Heads Up' as I believe certain people say.

Dustin, always did 'fancy a Burberry trench' he told Style&Error.

Thing is about doing an honours list is am almost certainly gonna honour all my people. Regulars already know who they are, so its a bit back-slappy and congratulatory. But then again it is my site/my people. Fuck it. Let's recognise those who have made style triumph over error, entertained or just not given a monkey's. I don't give a monkey's about the order of things either. This is gonna be a rolling awards week.

2011 STYLE & ERROR

HONOURS, UPPERS & DOWNERS PART I.

MOST SOPHISTICATED, SAVVY & ELEGANT BESPOKE TAILORS

-THOM SWEENEY-

Best fabric counsellors, excellent arbiters of taste and savvy vs. reserve. They don't half represent the look well themselves. They're their own muses. A template to reference. So, (click) for siting of boys on Bond Street and (click) for site/touch of Green Onions, take it away Booker...

LOW

-My fortieth birthday roof party piss-poor weather turnout (click)-

Presence of friends and prevailing Blitz spirit naturally made up for it, but looking at that accursed grey sky turning to rain in June did hurt a tad. I'll be back, dammit.  I had a roof based dream...

MOST STYLISH, CUNNING & ATTITUDE ENTRENCHED SHOE DESIGNER

-MR.HARE-

Been into Mr. Hare's shoes since the get go in AW09. Since then they've just kept getting better. I wear them, I style with them, I write about them, cause, they're stylish, edgy, clever, original, British and not British. Cool. Nice one.  So, (clickmans) for post, and (clickage) for site.

HIGH

-LANDING MACY'S JOB NYC-

Macy's hiring me as their Fashion Editor at Large for the season was an unexpected hoot. Was allowed to go quite mental in NYC with no one batting an eye or asking if this was normal. Hilarious. Love Macy's crew. Got JW involved, had my own drinks party in the Lower West side, and did what we liked style wise. Mental. Living the dream? Maybe, certainly nice work if you can get it. (click).

This is taking bloody ages to do. Will get back to ya with more later..

Stubbs out.

PS. Shall I dig out the Dustin Hoffman interview and see if can get the bit where he does an improvised monologue from Kramer vs. Kramer?
