Morning Style Fiends. They haven't a steam in a long time… wider, pleated pants that is. Am pretty certain its time. Its been doppio busy, standardly, but before I catch up with writing bout Luxury Glamour Gypsy, Pub Carbunkle, The Gucci Coup, & Coiled Cord Luxury, (just some of the comment coming your way if stay tuned), I just want talk bout pleats, please. Zegna navy pleats 11

Zegna Couture pleated wool crepe pants SS15.

So while we're all here, stick on Das Smyths and relax into the realm of roomier pants. Below is almost like video medley of Mozzas 'best bits'….He's been such a good contestant, no? So, pleats, pleats, pliz, let me get what I want, lord knows, its a higher waistline.

Mozza and the clones.

Note. You know its a big song when the first chords strike chords in the follicles of your forearms, even when someone does a pony cover, like that one for that 500 Days film. And they has been a few others, naturally. All idiots. Muse! Please. Utter pony. So, obviously you lot know bout Pleatz Please by Ol' Creasy Miyake (click), Roger? Double impressive world, but am not really going on bout those, just have to acknowledge it. No.

So. Just got self a pair of the above Zegna Couture pleated pants, but in navy. Went to get bottoms hemmed yesterday, and having witnessed a N.Y.C. style-monger (will find image) busting the stone version above in Florence, struck me light might be righter. All those folds and twill volume gets shown off better. Might have to swap 'em up. Stone impact. Stone love. Dave Style. Lets see. Regardless of colour, they are very beautiful things, as I believe I said in Das HTSI, round Spring time (clicky), but for reasons totes-out of my control, we featured a purple pair visually, as they were deemed more attention grabbing. Shame, as these ones are actually the RTW trousers of season SS15. Style fact. The trousers of the season-bar none howev's are my Thom Sweeney bespoke herringbone linen/silk Aristons. They are so special, dynamic pegs. Spoilt me for straights, they have. But I can't find image of just those, without the coat. Not one where I am conscious at least. I'll get one. Anyway, pleats, right? Will have to use shot of Bowie in silk-satin and paper/leather. Go steady with that tab, Dave.

Bowie Pleat

DB, Out, getting waisted again.

Am so, double thoroughly into those Sweeney suit pleated pants, thoroughly. Dyno-pegs they are. Super flattering  Also new Edward Sexton bespoke pale pinstriped, but these are like peg-bags, and trickier. Then thers's those nice pleated silk Canalis, too. The wine stain-conductors. They are all leading the trouser way forward for me, and all higher in the waist. This is key. Makes the top section smaller, neater. Right? Feels new again. NB. Do not be sporting a Derby** and pleats, though. Christ, its so, so Bournemouth Tours coach driver. One more reason to keep it lean. Action helps. Keep moving. Out Speed-Flaneuring yesterday, doing returns, on sartorial patrol and the like, when I clean Flannuered bang into E.Tautz (click), who are on sale. They do volume and pleats very well.

E.Tautz shortz SS15

Fellas in shop on excellent enlightening form. Am rating this show highly, and apparently the thinking trendies of D.S.M and similar are too. Wait for AW15 though. Now thats a killer show.

Tautz shorts stripe

E.Tautz SS15.

Found some insane/insanely good pleated 'shorts' (click). I love them, and am gonna bloody wear them. Realise they're a bit odd/Eric Morecombe too, but, there's something a bit Merry Christmas Mr.Lawerence* (click) about them, non? Partic' when styled with hats later in show. Talking of hats, I gave my Anderson&Sheppard Panama (click) its Mayfair debut yest' too. Its the darker, tobaccoy one. Needed to check how blow dry would behave in the heat. Its Wimbledon Quarters next week, don-cha-know, so styling begins now. Joe Mills was right. A freshly washed blowie stays good if the hat is put on immediately.

Back to the matter in hand/waist, stick on Ryuichi Sakamotos soundtrack theme now Mozz' has stopped moaning, below. This in itself could be setting a new mood. Worked last night for my solitude work session. Don't ya just love solitude? (not solitary confinement, mind). Makes me wonder why bothering with all the garms when all wanna do is loaf bout yard in my Speedos/OB?singlet collection. Regardless, other Dave, Sylvian, did a version of this with singing on top, Forbidden Colours. Quite likey. Think it went "My love wears forbidden trousers.." (click). Almost certain DS did pleats, but where's this 'research' gonna end?

<could insert some more words here?>

A note. Did plan to drop the new Sextononia with braces, but felt/looked too, too Spiv costume. Being middle-age don't exactly help, as young person verified this for me on the spot, between hysterics. Middle is the operative word, too. Is that where name comes from? Regardless, gonna have them pulled right in, even if gonna try a brace stance at some point. For now, trying to keep the mid-section neat and clean. Does look rather good with fitted, tiny silk pattern shirts though, which is what getting into. Almost a bit Zooty All change, non?

<some other stuff & bye, yeah>

Stubbs out.
