Evening Style Mongers. The Oscars last night provide neat excuse to go back and comment on black tie and also Baftas again a bit (as previous post got hacked) and compare what happened style wise on the men. The other issues arent my remit. But what a massive balls up though with best picture envelope, eh? Top jokers. How could they nause up on such a grandly global high-vis scale? Even me and my lot could have pulled that one off more securley. Totes-pillocks. Rather good to see such panic and chaos at that level though. And a sweating bald bloke being rude&short with poor old Warren Beaty. Anyway, I thought best look was Pharrell, in Chanel. With all that accessory caper going on about his torso, too.
The GQ have posted its six best dressed men zi Oscars (click), so have a shufty at that and will get back and finish this later on.. right now, gotta do myself hake with ndjua. Apols. There is some good style stuff to consider, like Ryan's frilled Gucci shirt.. but I really am doppio starving.

Now revisting this (two nights later) finding its a bit of dull subject in some ways. Thought I cared, now not so sure. Just read some other coverage elsewhere thats talking bout 'pooling' round the trousers. Of course that shouldnt happen. Happend to Matt Damon, looked well shabby-odd know one points it out and deals with it. Straight red really, but talking about it is dull.
Shannon DB Tom Ford featuring Missus, (models own)
Briefly, I liked Michael Shanons look, who I saw proudly bowling down Albermarle with a pram only last Thurday. My boy Rob Brydon pointed him out to me. Liked him in his Tom Ford DB. Andrew Garfield looked nice and rangey in a handsome Tom Ford SB too. A great straight up black & white rig.

Dev Patel looked pretty good in cream Burbs though lacked something- maybe should consider what Eddie Red' did in cream dior with black pocket square? Maybe.

Also looking good was Mahershala Ali in black on black shirt Zegna- a particularly good look on a black man, but someone stuffed a pointless-knee-jerk pocket snotter in his pocket... that look is well late. Clean would have done it fine. Yellow card for that, if we were doing cards, that is. Might bring back the Style Referee at this rate. Was gonna talk about think how being 'of colour' really helps for black tie on the red carpet. Was gonna, but bit shattered and have little to say at this time. The Baftas were fractionally more interesting- more error to mock. Except for my two boys: They looked great. Style fact.
Ali Z ....... (Mahershala in Zegna)
PS. Picked up a whole new roster of altenrative bits in town today that might help even stances not be dull, so do stay tuned.
PPS. Also got some proper slippers than Niven would have been proud of. Put a nail thru the delicate leather soul while on hake drill. That fragile..
